Local man about town, Perry Henderson Wiley, served in the United States Air Force from 1958 to 1962. After leaving his home in Lerona, WV, he trained at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio and became a member of the Air Police.

Free Football For Veterans This Friday

As our Wellington High School Crusaders gear up for a special night of football this Friday, it’s not just about the game. In a heartfelt gesture of gratitude, the Kansas State High School Activities Association (KSHSAA) is offering free admission to veterans and active duty military for the upcoming Sectional Championship football games, including our game at Wamego on November 10th at 7pm.

Santa Makes A Road Trip

Santa and his helpers braved the cold and rainy weather on Saturday and made the trip from Belle Plaine to Wellington to deliver toys and financial donations during the 32nd Annual Sumner County Toy Run.
