Celebrating the Seniors

Last Friday night, the WHS seniors from football, band, girl golf, girls tennis, cross county, dance and cheer were honored before the game against the Rose Hill Rockets. A Glee Filled Afternoon

A few days ago, the University of Notre Dame Glee Club stopped in Wellington to have lunch while traveling between concert performances in Oklahoma City and Wichita.Time locals spent with the singers was joyful, magical and spiritually uplifting.

Skywatchers Downtown

All eyes where pointed to the sky on Saturday as the clouds parted to reveal the annular solar eclipse here in Wellington. The Library hosted a watch party complete with free solar sunglasses and views through a telescope with a special-purpose solar filter.

Resigning With Grace

Last night, Janet “Jan” Grace, Cowley College’s Sumner Campus Operations Officer presented her final briefing on behalf of Cowley College to the Wellington City Council. Grace began serving this community in April of 2017 when she moved here from Salina, KS to accept the position with Cowley.
