Labor study: Kansas faces shortfall of 34,000 college-educated workers through 2030

A new labor report revealed the current annual rate of degree and certificate completion at Kansas colleges and universities would be insufficient to meet anticipated growth in demand for young, educated workers and could leave the state’s economy with an estimated 34,000 shortfall by the end of this decade.

Pickleball and Perseverance

For the last couple of Saturdays, locals have been participating in Pickleball clinics held at the former Church Ignited building on North Woodlawn. This came about through the diligent and tireless efforts of a small group of community members led Wellington native Sue Denny.

Bingo Event Packs Memorial Auditorium

Memorial Auditorium was the place to be in Wellington last Sunday afternoon as volunteers from the Saint Anthony/ Saint Rose Catholic Church hosted their second annual Quilt Bingo event. The gym floor was packed with VIP tables and the auditorium seats were filled with players of all ages, Bingo cards on their laps ready to mark their numbers and claim their prize.
