Three members of Wellington FFA had the opportunity to stand on the steps of the United States Capitol building and talk with Kansas legislators. They also toured some of the nation’s most famous monuments as part of their trip to the FFA Washington Leadership Conference in June. “We got to meet people from all over the United States,” said Kate Haines, Regional Sentinel and local WHS FFA Treasurer. “There were people from California, Montana and Idaho, just all over.”

The Chisholm Trail Museum is open and ready for visitors after undergoing some modest renovations and adding a few new exhibits. Thanks to some mighty helpers from Wellington, the projects were completed during the off season and didn’t impact opening day.
