Young Crusaders Gear Up For 2025

With the high school football season kicking off in just over 10 weeks, the Wellington Crusaders have started summer camps in preparation for the 2025 campaign. The Dukes are coming off of one of the most successful seasons of the last two decades and started camp last week, with a seven on seven contest with Goddard.

WHS FFA Members Earn Recognition

Members of the Wellington High School FFA Chapter traveled to Manhattan last week to take part in the 97th annual Kansas FFA State Convention, hosted on the Kansas State University campus. The multi-day event included seven general sessions held in McCain Auditorium, along with band and chorus performances, leadership workshops, and award presentations.

Local Paramedic Earns Prestigious Award

Wellington Firefighter/Paramedic Bradley Robinson has been honored with the prestigious DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses, a global recognition that celebrates the exceptional, compassionate care nurses provide to patients and families every day. The award was presented by William Newton Memorial Hospital, where Robinson serves as a Registered Nurse/Paramedic in the Emergency Department.
