Move aside, Powder Puff—Buff Puff has taken center stage at WHS! Last week, brawny and mostly buff athletes from all four classes brought laughter and excitement to the WHS gym as they competed in spirited volleyball matchups to raise funds to buy toys for families in need at Christmas time.

The Wellington football team suffered a season ending defeat last Friday night at the hands of Andover Central. The loss was Wellington’s second consecutive loss in the Sectional Championship game.

The Wellington girl’s tennis and volleyball teams had a number of All-League and All-State selections. Each team had four All-League selections.

Wellington High School athletics had several student- athletes sign to play ball at the collegiate level on National Signing Day last week. Seven student athletes across four different sports will be continuing their athletic career.

Last Thursday, Kapaun Mount Carmel visited Sellers Park for the first time since 1976 to take on the Wellington football team in a thriller that came down to the final minutes.
