The Wellington football team led wire to wire against Rose Hill last Friday in a 41-point victory. The win was the Crusaders largest this season.

The Wellington girl’s tennis team earned two medals at the Kansas State Tennis Tournament in Topeka. The doubles team of Kadynce Aufdengarten and Cruz Cornejo fought to earn a prestigious 3rd Place finish, while the doubles team of Logan Robinson and Addi Thomson battled their way into 5th Place.

The Wellington girls volleyball team hosted a triangular and celebrated their seniors between matches.

The Wellington boys and girls cross country teams competed in the Ark Valley Chisholm Trail League Division IV Championships in Clearwater last week. The boys team won the League Championship for the third straight season.

It was a homecoming thrashing for the Wellington football team as they used four first half touchdowns to dominate the Winfield Vikings last Friday night.

The Wellington girls golf team won their third consecutive Ark Valley Chisholm Trail League championship in Derby last week. The Lady Dukes had six of the top eight finishers in the tournament, for division IV, shooting 338 as a team.

The Wellington High School Volleyball team hosted Andale and Augusta at home last week. Both the Varsity and JV squads split in the triangular.

The Wellington girl’s tennis team played in KSHSAA’s 4A Regional tournament in Winfield last week to qualify players for the State tournament.

Wellington cruised to a solid victory over Augusta last week as the Crusader offense exploded with 28 points in the 2nd quarter to blow the game open.
