Bolstered by a strong seven inning outing from hometown pitcher Keaton Hartman, the Wellington Heat got an exciting 3-2 win over the Kansas Curve. Hartman, former WHS player, gave up just three hits in the game.

The Wellington Heat finished the first half of their season on a high-note with a pair of victories on June 30th and July 1st. They started the week with an 18-1 win over the Mulvane Patriots.

Hot June evenings are not typically thought of as football nights. However, on one fateful night the best high school seniors from around the state play in an all-star game to support the Shriners.

Last Tuesday the Wellington Sailfish traveled to Haysville with 39 simmers. The meet saw several new District Qualifiers; Caroline Mott in the 50 meter freestyle, Abby Ybarra in the 50 meter freestyle, Georgia Shinliver in the 50 meter freestyle and 100 meter butterfly, and Duke Shinliver in the 50 meter breaststroke.
