After finishing 3rd at Regionals, the Wellington boys golf team qualified to compete at the KSHSAA 2024 4A Boys Golf State Championship this week in McPherson at the Turkey Creek Golf Course. At the end of the first day, the Dukes found themselves in a three-way tie for 5th Place, shooting a combined team score of 108.
The Wellington track team had a record-setting day at the KSHSAA 4A Regional track meet in Coffeyville last week. The Girls Track team finished in 2nd place overall, just four points shy of winning the meet.
A Wellington baseball team that’s been exciting to watch this year lost in the Regional Championship to end their season last week. The Dukes played two games in the Regional Tournament, defeating Ulysses in Game 1 and falling to Pratt in the Championship game.

On May 4th, Alara Wilson participated in her last regular-season swim meet of 2024 with the Winfield Vikings at the Andover High School Girls Invitational. Emerging as the dominant team’s standout freshman, she contributed a notable 16 points to their victorious finish.
