WHS Golfers Compete At Terradyne

The Wellington golfers competed in the Andover Central Invitational at Terradyne Country Club in Andover. The Dukes finished seventh out of 16 teams with a score of 339. “It was another highly competitive tournament,” said head coach James Ginter.” We had five kids shoot in the 80’s so we did alright.”

AT CIRCLE: #1 Singles Player Hunter Worley received the 2 seed, went 1-2 and finished in 4th Place #1 Doubles Lough/Summers received the 8 seed, went 1-2 and finished 7th. Crusader Bats Heat Up

Wellington snapped a four game losing streak at Seller Park last week as they defeated Ark City 12-1 at home. The Dukes put up seven in the 3rd inning, the most runs in a single inning this season.

Track Competes In Pratt

The Wellington track team competed in the Pratt invitational last Friday and the Dukes had athletes with multiple top three finishes in the event. Sophomore Cooper Hatfield had a very big day finishing 2nd in the 100 Meter Dash with a new PR time of 11.32 and winning the 400 Meter Dash with a new PR time of 51.31.
