
Tennis Takes First at Chanute
The WHS Crusaders boys tennis team took 1st Place as a team in Chanute. This is the tennis team’s second time 1st place finish this season.

At the Dragon Relays hosted at Belle Plaine High School, both the WHS boys and girls placed 3rd as a team. There were a number of stand-out performances including five 1st place finishes.
The WHS Crusaders baseball team played their cross town rival Winfield on Monday night. The Crusaders split with the Vikings.
The day before Easter, the WHS boys tennis team competed in a large tournament called the John Markham Classic in Goddard. The Crusaders competed against schools in Class 6A, 5A, 4A and 3A.
WHS senior Jensen Lynnes and the Winfield Vikings took home a first place win at the Newton Invitational last Tuesday. Individually, Lynnes also had a solid meet.
The Lady Crusaders won their first game against the Winfield Vikings 5-4 on Monday and in game two, Wellington lost 5-3. The Lady Crusaders won game one on a walk off hit from Freshman Claire Ginter.
The WHS boys golf team won their first tournament of the season. The boys took first place by beating Wichita Trinity by four strokes at the Circle Invitational on Monday.
The WHS boys tennis team continues to excel this season. They competed at Maize South last week on April 7 and took home 2nd place overall.
