
Boys Golf Improves At Home
The WHS boys golf team improved last week as a team. The Crusaders placed seventh out of 12 teams at the Wellington Varsity Invitational. This is an improvement from the boys first tournament of the season.

Head Baseball Coach Ryan Jenkins conducted his annual Crusader Baseball Youth Camp last weekend, which focused on building a solid foundation of fundamentals for players ranging from 1st to 8th grade.
The WHS track and field team started off their 2023 season competing in a meet at Pratt High School last week. In addition to Pratt, the Crusaders competed against Kiowa County, Kingman, Scott City, Garden Plain, McPherson, Rose Hill, Goddard Eisenhower, Great Bend, and Hays.
The WHS baseball team snagged their first doubleheader sweep of the season against Andale. The Crusaders beat the Andale Indians 10-5 and 9-0 on March 31st.
The WHS boys golf team opened up their season at the Sand Creek Station Golf Course in Newton on March 30th. Andover hosted the tournament.

The WHS softball team split with the Andale Indians last week. The Lady Crusaders lost their first game 17-0 but came back and beat Andale 11-10 in game two.
Senior Jensen Lynnes swam in back to back swim meets for the Winfield Viking’s girls team last week. On March 28, Lynnes swam with Winfield at the Andover Central Varsity Invitational.
The WHS boys tennis team started off the 2023 season with two strong first place finishes. In the Crusaders home opener, they tied Goddard Eisenhower for 1st place with 17 points.
