After two wins last week, the Lady Crusaders continued their undefeated season and a shot at a share of the AVCTL IV league title. Wellington beat the Rose Hill Rockets on February 14, 65-25.
Two seniors scored in double figures on senior night for the boys basketball team. Senior guard Jack Wright scored a team high of 17 points and senior forward Montel Tate scored 14. The Crusaders beat the Clearwater Indians 5421.

The Wellington Middle School cheer team now has a 2023 Rally in the Valley trophy to add to the case at school. The Lady Crusaders competed on February 9th at Valley Center High School.
Wellington High School hosted the KSHAA girls wrestling 4A regional last weekend. As a team, Wellington scored 54.0 points and finished ninth out of 31 teams.
Three Lady Crusaders scored in double figures in the team’s 60-39 win against the El Dorado Wildcats last Friday night. Freshman Kylan Gregory scored a team high 16 points against the Wildcats.
After three straight losses, the Wellington high school boys basketball team is back in the win column. The Crusaders beat the El Dorado Wildcats 59-44 last Friday.
The WHS powerlifting team had six overall first place finishes at their 5th Annual Power Meet, their first non-virtual meet of the season. Senior Hedi Gulick placed first overall for the third time this season in the 165 pound weight class.
