No one quite remembers how the tradition started but before every swim meet begins, someone will ask, “Who has the sharpies?” The Great Plains Swim League (GPSL) League Finals were no exception as the Wellington Sailfish prominently displayed their team spirit in art. The brightly colored markers were used to write each swimmer’s events on their arm or leg, to share messages of inspiration, and to express the swimmer’s artistic talents.
