Wellington High School's Anna Cullens won the Kansas State Track and Field Championship in both the 100-meter and 300-meter hurdles. In the 100 hurdles her time was 14.29 and in the 300 hurdles she ran 44.43. She was also fifth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.54. Ali Zeka placed third in the long jump with a try of 17-02.

The Wellington Girls Track team traveled to El Dorado for the Class 4A Regional Track Meet, and they came home with the 1st Place hardware. Ten school teams competed in the Regional meet and Wellington came out on top with 107 points.
CLAY CENTER, Kansas-The Wellington Crusader baseball season came to an end on Wednesday, with a 5-2 loss against Clay Center in the first round of the Regional tournament. The Crusaders gave up the first five runs of the game, and never recovered.
Congratulations to Wellington’s own Chloe Wilson, WHS Class of 2020. Representing Cowley College, she is the 2022 NJCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Champion in the Hammer Throw event.
The Crusaders might have dropped the final two games of the season against the Mulvane Wildcats at Hibbs-Hooten Field on Wednesday, but it did not take any of the shine off their 2022 season, now entering its final stage, the postseason.
Wellington Middle School 8th Grade Boys League Champions! 7th Grade Girls, Camielle McClure, Addy Wilson, Dru Zeka and Kylee Branam 4X100 placed 1st with a time of 54.64. All photos submitted 8th Grade Boys, Cooper Hatfield, Milo Elder, Cayson Ramirez, and Jalik Armstrong set a new league record of 48.15, winning the 4X100 Meter Relay.

Wellington Elementary 4th and 5th Graders competed in the City-Wide Track Meet at the middle school this week. Events included standard track and field events such as high jump, long jump and numerous running events as well as team building events like the 3-legged race.
