Last Tuesday, Kansas voters took part in a unique election that has only happened two other times in the state’s history: the Presidential Preference Primary (PPP). During this event, Kansans selected the presidential candidates they preferred for their party’s presidential nomination.

Sumner Mental Health Starting Same Day Intakes

The Sumner Mental Health Center is transitioning to a Certified Community Behavioral Health Center (CCBHC) model of care, focusing on “whole person” wellness and enabling care coordination among community partners in physical health, alcohol and drug needs, crisis services, housing, and employment. As a CCBHC, starting next week, the Sumner Mental Health Center will offer same-day access for behavioral health and substance use intake assessments, alongside scheduled intakes, to improve service access and reduce wait times.
