HUBZone Expands Business Opportunity In Sumner County

Last Tuesday, Stacy Davis, Economic Director of the Sumner County Economic Development Commission (SCEDC), shared exciting news with the Wellington City Council. Davis explained, “For the last two years, I have been working with the Kansas Department of Commerce to have a census tract done for Sumner County, specifically Wellington, declared a HUBZone.” The Small Business Administration (SBA) defines a Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) as an economically distressed area based on income and unemployment data.

Seniors Head to the Badlands & Black Hills
