After 45 years as a career in Fire/EMS I am retiring. I started in August of 1978 here in Wellington and served as Chief with three other departments in Kansas and Utah. It is time, as the physical and mental demand has taken a toll.

Last Tuesday, August 1st, 2023, Sumner County held a Primary election for the Cowley College Board of Trustees candidates. With the installation of the Cowley College Sumner Campus, Sumner County is entitled to fill one elected position on the Cowley Cowley Board of Trustees.
