This week, Barry Dicker, Project Leader and President of Decent Energy, Inc. is using a thermal imaging camera to document the temperature of the thermal-energy storage ceiling- tile installed in City Hall as part of the Sumner County’s “Building Technologies Proving Ground – Public Sector Field Validation” project that was awarded by the United States Department of Energy (DOE).
Last Saturday, the Crusaders of the Stage performed the delightful musical comedy “Once Upon a Mattress” which is based on the “Princess and the Pea” fairytale. The play was directed by WHS Art Instructor, Todd Larkey.

After a three year hiatus, the Wellington Community Theater is back and rehearsing to perform the stage play Steel Magnolias. The all-female cast will present the comedy- drama at Memorial Auditorium October 14th, 15th and 16th.

Ballet Wichita is presenting Wellington residents with a vibrant, live performance of “Tom Sawyer” in Seller’s Park, Saturday, September 10th at 6:30pm. The latest in the dance company’s “Ballet in the Park” series, the 45 minute performance is free and open to the public.
On Thursday, July 28, local Wellington musicians showed that our community has some amazing local talent. “The Homecoming Show” played at the Regent Theater from 7pm until 10:15pm, and the musicians continually impressed the crowd.
Musical performances have been a special highlight at the Wellington Heat games this summer. Three young, local performers have shared their artistic talents by singing their own renditions of the Star Spangled Banner, the national anthem of the United States.
An underwater wonderland of laughs, literacy and learning came to Memorial Auditorium as Dan Dan the Magic Man entertained 150 children and their parents. The fun filled show kept the audience engaged every minute as Dan and his helpers dazzled with tales of pirates, ships and associated adventures.
