Pet of the Week

We are excited to have Rufus as our Pet of the Week! He has been through a lot and waited patiently for his turn. Rufus was originally found on the side of the turnpike, ema- ciated and covered in fleas and ticks. He has a cleft palate and our vet was able to perform surgery to close the palate, remove teeth that were out of place, and try to close the gums and lip. Sadly, the lip didn’t hold together, but that was purely cosmetic. His palette is now closed and healed and he is ready for adoption! Rufus is a big lover! He loves all the attention from people, but he doesn’t want to share it with other dogs, so he would be best as an only dog. Do you have room in your home and heart for this big guy? Stop in this week to meet Rufus. We are open Wednesday through Friday 3-7pm and Saturday 10am-2pm. If you are interested in adoption, please complete the online application before you come in to speed up the adoption process. We go in order of application received, so the sooner you get in your application, the better. Don’t forget, Rufus’ adoption fee is $50 o during his special week!
