The Wellington Community Theater presented the comedy “Leaving Iowa” by Tim Clue and Spike Manton this past weekend at Memorial Auditorium. The play was billed as entertainment for the whole family and on Saturday the seats were filled with audience members of all ages.

Four Sumner County football players got the opportunity to play in the 38th Annual Kansas 8-Man All Star Game in Beloit, KS. Peyton Rush of Oxford, Keiondre Smith and Cole Wiens of the Sumner Outlaws and Brady Roblin of Argonia-Attica played for the East 8-Man Division I team on June 10.

WHS alumni Zane Cornejo has been recognized by McPherson College for earning a place on their Spring 2023 Honor Roll. He is enrolled fulltime and earned a grade point average above 3.55 during his last term.
Summer Chicken Salad 2 – 8oz blocks of cream cheese 1/3 C mayonnaise 1 – 8oz can of pineapple tidbits (reserve juice) 3 – 5oz cans chicken 1 C slivered almonds (optional) 1 ½ C seedless grapes (cut in half) Beat cream cheese with mayonnaise and two tablespoons of pineapple juice. Stir in pineapple tidbits, chicken, almonds and grapes.
