Family Favorite Pepper Steak Chop & Prep: 15 minutes Total Cook Time: 1 hour You need: 2 tablespoons vegetable oil 2 green bell peppers, cut into strips 2 red bell peppers, cut into strips 1 ½ pounds round steak, cut into strips 1 sweet onion, finely chopped 1 cup crushed tomatoes ½ cup water garlic salt and pepper to taste Heat oil in a large skillet and add the green and red peppers. This new Cessna 408 SkyCourier made a trip down from Textron Aviation. The flight to the Wellington airport provided their international customers with a demonstration of the aircraft’s capabilities as well as a first-hand look at the operations of refueling.

Celebrating Our Home State

Kansans: People of the South Wind.This certainly hits home after the strong winds we have experienced this winter! Translated from the Native American tribe Kansa (aka Konza), our state was the early home of this tribe and numerous others. As the desire for westward expansion grew, the government negotiated an Indian removal in 1853 and this area was declared a Territory of the United States with the Kansas- Nebraska Act. This opened up the debate on slavery as the settlers themselves were tasked with determining whether Kansas would be a free or slave state.
