Gary Dean Edwards died

Lakewood, Colorado at the age of 77. Gary was born June 16, 1945 in Wellington, Kansas, the son of John Forrest Edwards and Helen (Friend) Edwards. Gary grew up on a farm in the Cicero Community and graduated from Wellington High School Class of 1963. Gary was married to Elizabeth Jane Branaugh and they had a son Jeffery Scon and a daughter Jill Rene all who preceded him in death. Gary was married to Beverly Kay Monson and Lavida Crow. Lavida (Sugar) preceded him in death. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his brothers Paul Duane Edwards, and Jack Dale Edwards. Survivors include his sons Curtis Dean Edwards and wife Tanya of Westminster, CO, and Samuel Wayne Edwards of Arvada, CO, daughter Angela Deanne

Evertt and husband Jason of Ovid, CO, Grandchildren: Kristien Nicole Duran, and C.J., Tyler, Ryan Forrest, and Mason Edwards, brother John Edwards and wife Virginia of Ponca City, Ok, sister MaryAnn Hennig and husband Phil of Wellington, Ks. ln addition he has many nephews, nieces, and friends he was very close to.

Gary served in the U.S. Army and was an air traffic controller on duty in Vietnam. He was member of

VFW Post 4331 in Arvada, Co: Gary worked on the farm in his younger years, but his love of cars made him an auto mechanic. He worked for Jolly Rancher as head of their fleet of trucks and often took the Jolly Rancher stagecoach on tour around the country. Fishing and hunting with his brothers & family was what he loved as well as guns, westerns and anything John Deere. Graveside services will be at fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, CO. on October I 3th at 11:15 am. (stage area “C”) A “Celebration of Life” will be held following the service from 12:30- 4:30 pm at the American Legion Hall in Westminster, CO. Arrangements by Aspen Mortuaries
