Inez (Gonzales) Glamann was born on April 20, 1934 in Walters, Oklahoma to Joe and Sofie (Spino) Gonzales and departed this life on February 23, 2022 in Derby, Kansas at the age of 87.
Inez grew up in Walters, Oklahoma and graduated from Walters High School. She enjoyed travelling and visited many states over the years while also travelling internationally to Mexico and Germany. Inez liked taking her family and friends with her when vacationing and always looked forward to visiting places with mountains, rivers and beautiful countrysides. However, her favorite place to visit was Disney World.
Inez was a proud member of the Order of the Eastern Star and received her 50 Year pin in 2008. She belonged to the American Legion and was a “pink lady” volunteer at the Sumner Regional Medical Center.
On March 29, 1981, Inez and Jack Glamann were united in marriage in Joplin, Missouri. Together they celebrated nearly 18 years of marriage before his passing in 1999. Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, sisters: Marguaritta Mitchell, Rosie Harlan, Pauline Melsby, Beatrice Boyles and Faye Goodner.
Survivors include her son, Rick V. Brown and wife Mary of Wellington, Kansas; son, Nick R. Brown and wife Kathy of Amarillo, Texas, grandchildren: Apryl Davis of Wellington, Kansas, David V. Brown and wife Brianne of New Plymouth, Idaho and Nicole C. Boyd and husband Matthew of Ardmore, Oklahoma, great-grandchildren: Michael Davis, Megan Davis, Lucas Boyd and Kaylin Boyd and a sister, Sue Alfaro of Lawton, Oklahoma.
A viewing will be held at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 1, 2022 with the family present to receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Funeral services will immediately follow the viewing and begin at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 1, 2022 in the chapel of Cornejo Funeral Home, 1030 Mission Road, Wellington, Kansas. Pastor Jon Shellenberger of Wellington Church of the Nazarene will officiate. Interment will follow at the Prairie Lawn Cemetery, Wellington, Kansas.
A memorial has been established in her name and loving memory with Wellington Senior Center. Contributions can be mailed or left with the funeral home.
