WELLINGTON – Karlin DeBuhr, of Wellington, Kansas, passed away on Friday, December 17, 2021 at Botkin Health and Rehab in Wellington, Kansas at the age of 85. He was born the son of Nina (Cottle) and Arlyss DeBuhr on May 11, 1936 in South Haven, Kansas. On August 19, 1955, Karlin and Peggy (Kern) DeBuhr were united in marriage in Wellington, Kansas. Together they celebrated 57 years of marriage before her passing in 2012. Following high school, Karlin attended auctioneer school and began a longtime career in the industry. Together, he and Peggy owned and operated Wheatland Realty where he was a realtor, auctioneer and assisted with insurance. Outside of the business, Karlin and his family continued operating the family farm for many years.
Survivors include his son, Karlyss DeBuhr of Wellington, Kansas; son, Kenton DeBuhr (Tina) of Wellington, Kansas; daughter, Brandy Luck (Tim) of Owensboro, Kentucky; son, Kenneth DeBuhr (Kaley) of Wichita, Kansas; daughter, Kristy DeBuhr (Mario French) of Wellington, Kansas, grandchildren: K.C. Stafford (Courtney) and Jason Shelinbarger, great-grandchildren: Vanessa Luck, Kris Luck, Sydney Luck, Chandler Burton, Austin French, Tynell French, Kymari French, Madison Stafford, Madlyn Stafford, Caleb Shelinbarger, Kassandra Shelinbarger and Kristian Shelinbarger; brother, Gary DeBuhr and Arnie DeBuhr (Donna) all of Wichita, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife; son, Kirby DeBuhr; grandson, Bo DeBuhr and grandson, Donzell French.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 21, 2021.
Recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at St. Anthony St. Rose Catholic Church, 210 North B Street, Wellington, Kansas.
Funeral Mass for Karlin will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at St. Anthony St. Rose Catholic Church, Wellington, Kansas. Interment will follow at Sumner Memorial Gardens, Wellington, Kansas.
