There’s a new sound on the airwaves! Starting this week, KLEY 104.1FM/1130AM officially launched “Thunder Country”—a bold new format packed with today’s biggest country hits alongside fan favorites from the ’80s and ’90s. Expect to hear artists like Garth Brooks, Carrie Underwood, Blake Shelton, Shania Twain, and Little Big Town in a mix designed to keep you singing along all day long.
Wellington area native Matt Yearout is leading the charge at the locally owned and operated station, which is powered by a team of seasoned broadcast professionals focused on strong community connections. In addition to hosting his own show, Yearout will serve as the local point of contact for content and advertising.

The relaunch also features the addition of the award-winning “Broadway and Friends” morning show, airing weekdays from 6–10am. Direct from Nashville, the show is hosted by Jerry Broadway with co-hosts Sweet Becca Walls and TV personality Mitch English. Known for its humor, energy, and insider country music scoops, the show has earned five Country Music Association Awards (CMAs) and seven Academy of Country Music Awards (ACMs), including National Daily On-Air Personalities of the Year.
In addition to music, Thunder Country remains committed to local coverage. The station will continue broadcasting Wellington High School football and boys and girls basketball and is expanding its lineup to include agriculture reports and up-to-date weather for the region.
Yearout is also looking to connect with local businesses for promotional partnerships and integrated marketing opportunities.
