Tuesday saw a lot of activity at the Wellington Municipal Airport, with the arrival of a Citation 560, Piper Meridian, and Citation Sovereign. The Cessna Citation Sovereign, one of the larger aircraft to visit the airport, frequently brings hunters into our area. The Cessna 560 Citation Ultra is a small business jet powered by twin aft-mounted turbofans. It has a cruising speed of 425 knots and seats up to eleven people, including two pilots. The Piper Meridian is a single-engine turboprop with a range of 490 nautical miles and a cruising speed of 267 knots. Production of this aircraft began in 2001 and continues today. It is flown by a single pilot and can carry up to five passengers.
