Bob Yearout, of Mayfield, 89,  died Sunday, February 4, at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Wellington. Bob was born the son of Harry and Alma Louise (Stocking) Yearout on Sunday, August 12, 1928 in Wellington. He was a graduate of Caldwell High School in 1946. Following graduation, Bob went to work at the Mayfield Elevator where he eventually became the manager. He then operated Mayfield Oil Products for a few years before finishing his career at Plessey Midwest in Wellington when he retired in 1994. On July 30, 1950, Bob and Donna Cook were united in marriage in Mayfield. Together they celebrated 67 years of marriage. Survivors include his wife, Donna Yearout of Mayfield; daughter, Sherry Alquest (Alan) of Winfield; daughter, Brenda Etter (Jack) of Mayfield; daughter, Debby Yearout of Mayfield; daughter, Cindy Davies of Caldwell; son, Steve Yearout (Linda) of Wellington; sister, Betty Popplewell of Wellington; brother, Jim Yearout (Katie) of Harrah, Oklahoma, grandchildren: Tina Stadler (Adam) of Topeka, Kip Etter (Kim) of Wellington, Jeremy Goodrum (Wendy) of Wellington, Kami Etter of Wichita, Stuart Yearout (Trinh) of Wichita, and Brian Yearout (Jay) of Topeka, along with 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Alma Yearout; his brother, Jack Yearout and a son-in-law, Gene Davies.  Memorial services for Bob will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, February 8, 2018 at the Mayfield Federated Church in Mayfield.  Interment will follow at Osborne Cemetery in Mayfield. A memorial fund has been established in his loving memory to the Mayfield Federated Church. Contributions may be mailed or left with the funeral home.
