Sue Helus, of Argonia, 67, died Monday, March 26, at Via Christi-St. Francis in Wichita.  Sue was born the daughter of Calvin and Dorothy (Mae) Young on Thursday, June 22, 1950 in Wellington. On April 15, 1981, Sue and Ray Helus were united in marriage in Hutchinson. Together they celebrated 36 years of marriage.  Sue worked in the constructions industry for many years specializing in hanging sheet rock and drywall. She eventually looked for a new challenge and pursued a career in healthcare. Sue worked as a CMA for 18 years at Beaver Creek Home in Milan, and eventually retired. Survivors include her husband, Ray Helus, children: Kendal Smith of Wellington; Duane Smith of Minnesota; Marcella Foulk of Mulberry; Timothy Helus of Buhler, Kansas; Arick Helus of Hutchinson; Jason Helus (Laura Wartick) of Argonia; close extended family members; Gena Billionis of Wellington, Dave Wonser (Frances) of Hutchinson, Amy Yonts of Wichita, Karla Smith of Minnesota; 20 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.   She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, James.  Memorial services for Sue will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Cornerstone Church in Argonia.  A private interment will be held at a later date in the Argonia Cemetery, Argonia. A memorial fund has been established in her loving memory to Victory in the Valley. Contributions may be mailed or left with the funeral home.
