Gloria N. Freeman, 89, of Wellington, died Friday, August 17, at Botkin Care and Rehabilitation in Wellington. Gloria was born the daughter of George G. and Nettie (Clement) Jones on Monday, October 22, 1928 in Hazelton. She later graduated from Sharon High School in Sharon. On February 28, 1946, Gloria and Theodore E. Freeman were united in marriage in Medicine Lodge. Together they celebrated 55 years of marriage before his passing in 2001. She was employed as an Installer at Boeing Aircraft Company and retired in 1994 after a nearly 30 year career. Outside of work, Gloria loved being a homemaker and mother. She shared her love of the outdoors with her family and took them on many camping and fishing trips. Survivors include her son, Theodore S. Freeman of Wellington; daughter, Sherrel Neely and her husband Ron of Douglass, along with several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Nettie Jones; son, Ronald Freeman; husband, Theodore E. Freeman, five brothers and five sisters. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 22, 2018 with the family present from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Graveside services for Gloria will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Sumner Memorial Gardens, Wellington. A memorial fund has been established in her loving memory to the Avenue of Flags. Contributions may be mailed or left with the funeral home.
