The InterHab Executive Committee is excited to announce that Matt Fletcher has accepted the position of Executive Director at InterHab. Fletcher will begin his role in late November, providing leadership to the association, which has been working to improve the lives of Kansans with intellectual and developmental disabilities for nearly 50 years.
Fletcher has spent his career dedicated to health and human services in Kansas, including nearly two decades in support of Kansans with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Most recently, Fletcher comes to InterHab from Johnson County Developmental Supports (JCDS) in Lenexa, Kansas where he served as Deputy Director, ensuring high-quality service delivery to approximately 500 persons with I/DD, encompassing the work of more than 250 employees dedicated to residential, day, employment, and case management program areas of the agency.
Prior to JCDS, Fletcher spent 16 years working for InterHab as Associate Director. During this time, he led grassroots advocacy efforts to ensure the best possible outcomes for providing services to Kansans with I/DD.
“I am thrilled to rejoin the team at InterHab,” said Matt Fletcher, incoming Executive Director. “My entire career has been spent in the human services industry and I look forward to working alongside a dedicated team of staff and association members who ensure Kansans with disabilities receive the vital services they need across the state.”
InterHab is the state association for providers of community services to Kansans with intellectual and developmental disabilities. For nearly 50 years, it has collaborated with state and local government to ensure through advocacy and innovation that Kansans with disabilities can live independent, inclusive lives.
