For Alysha Rusk, her creative energies have been leading her to the moment in recent days when her new business, Rustic Creations, became a member of the Wellington Chamber of Commerce.  Earlier this week, Kelly Ford wrote in her regular email to Wellington Chamber of Commerce members, “We are so excited to welcome Rustic Creations by Alysha Rusk to the Wellington Chamber family.”
Alysha wrote at the time, “"At Rustic Creations I sell shirts, drink luvware, hand-painted wood signs, and special gifts for the whole family. I originally started creating and selling to my close friends a few years ago. After being pushed by many of those friends I decided to branch out and start a business. The best part about my job is getting to see others enjoy my creations!"
When reached Wednesday evening, Alysha recalled, “I originally started creating and selling to my close friends a few years ago. After being pushed by many of those friends, I decided to branch out and start a business. The best part about my job is getting to see others enjoy my creations. I mainly sell in my Facebook group “Rustic Creations by Alysha.” When The Tarnished Tulip, in Mayfield, opens March 22nd, at 106 N Osborn in Mayfield, a few of my items will be available there for purchase.”
Alysha said her most popular items are the personalized ones.  “Cups, mugs and shirts are some of the most popular selling items. I have also had great response with the Minky Blankets I sew. They are super soft and warm.”
She said she is “not from Wellington originally. I actually went to school in Haysville. My husband and I live in Mayfield now and we have 3 boys. I enjoy being able to work from home and spend time with my boys. It also gives me the opportunity to volunteer in my church and the boys’ school.  I do not currently have a website. People can join my Facebook group https://www.facebook.com/groups/405011463638879/?ref=share.”
