Tuesday afternoon, Vice President Phyllis Todd offered us a sneak peek inside the new building for the Wellington Humane Society.  For the past several months, it has been a flurry of construction activity at the site on the north end of town.  Earlier this year, it was hoped the building would be ready to open in the spring.

According to Wellington Humane Society Director Chelsea Nickell, "we were originally thinking May, but rain delays have pushed it back and we are anticipating June. They are working on getting the interior done. Flooring, finishing windows, doors, you name it. They still have exterior work to do, so they are working on all of that as well."
