The 2019 Wellington Fall Fest will take place as it traditionally does each year during Homecoming Week. 

The Homecoming parade and pep rally will take place Thursday, Oct. 3 in downtown Wellington, the Homecoming game against Rose Hill will happen Friday, Oct. 4 at the Wellington Football Field in Sellers Park and the Fall Festival events are set for 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Memorial Auditorium and Heritage Park.

On Saturday, events will begin with the 5K and one mile fun run for muscular dystrophy at 7:30 a.m. at 116 W. Lincoln. This is the 10th and final year for the run.

An arts, crafts and vendors show will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Memorial Auditorium. There will be “about 30 booths with art, crafts, make-up, jewelry, a little something for everyone,” Kelly Ford, executive director of the Wellington Area Chamber of Commerce.

Wellington firefighters, police and Sumner 911 will be at the emergency services booth from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. “They want to have positive and fun interaction with our youth,” Ford said, adding that there will be mascots from three entities at the booth.

A photo selfie booth run by the First Christian Church will be in Heritage Park from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Other events will be:

“Tank” the tiger from Cowley College at Heritage Park from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

At 11 a.m. dancers will perform at Heritage Park - Crimson Dancers, Encore Dance Wellington and Infinity Dance Studio.

Chili cook-off from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be tasting kits.

Live music from The Steinbergs from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Heritage Park Stage.

The United Methodist Church open house from 1 to 3 p.m.

Dash and Dance .5k run from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Encore Dance Wellington.

The events will be capped by a concert at 8 p.m. at Memorial Auditorium with Logan Mize and Jill Martin and special guest Jason Boyd will perform at 8 p.m.
