Ronald Dean Coker, 85, passed away on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at his residence in Colcord, Oklahoma.
Ronald was born on October 18, 1936 in Caldwell, Kansas. He was the son of Delmar and Berniece (Sargent) Coker.
Ronald and Laveta married in 1969, in Row, Oklahoma, and were married for 53 years. They made their home in Perth, Kansas where they lived for 30 years.
Ronald started working at Boeing as a machinist kickstarting a 22 year career. In 1997 Ronald retired and they moved to Colcord, Oklahoma, where he spent his time gardening, boating, and fishing. In his past time he loved cooking Chinese food and helping his wife Laveta make homemade spring rolls for family get togethers. Ronald also loved being with his church family and singing gospel hymns. His second joy was being a “Grandpa” for 9 years to the 2nd grade classes through the Ki Bois Association Program of America for foster grandparents at Jay Elementary. Ronald loved being around the children and helping them as much as he could. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents Delmar and Berniece Coker; one brother Gilbert Coker and one Twin brother Donald Coker.
Ronald is survived by his wife, Laveta Joyce (Beck) Coker of the home; his sister-in-laws, Audra Coker, Deva Coker, Janice Sloan, Brenda Sinor, Rhonda Hollenback and husband Jerry; brother-in-laws, Gale Beck and wife Sue, Danny Beck and wife Sherry, Ronnie Beck and wife Mary; his precious fur baby, Sissie; Ronald was also blessed with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
Ronald’s family will not be having a memorial service at this time for Ronald. The family would like to thank everyone for their condolences, kindness, and love during this time.
