Two people were killed in a collision involving two SUVs six miles between Wellington and Oxford at the Oliver Road-U.S. 160 intersection.

The Sumner County Sheriff's office said the two SUVs collided shortly before 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.

A sheriff’s office representative said the accident might have been caused by a mechanical issue preventing the maroon SUV from stopping. The maroon SUV collided with the silver SUV.
