The Wellington Area Chamber of Commerce has partnered with Workforce Alliance and the Sumner County Economic Development Commission to put on a Job Fair on Aug. 31 from 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. at the Memorial Auditorium.

Those who are in need of work or even a career change are encouraged to bring their resumes. There are currently still spaces open for employers within Sumner County or a part of the Wellington Chamber to be included in this event.

"We are seeing the need from many of our local businesses and Chamber members, as there is all over the nation, for employees," said Wellington Chamber Executive Director Valerie Earl.

The Chamber has a variety of employers looking for employees.

There will be local businesses (Impact Bank, H&R Block, and Sumner Communications), non-profit organizations (Futures Unlimited and Aahn's Place), medical (Sumner County Hospital), bigger corporations (Kansas Turnpike Authority), and more.

These booth spaces are free. If employers are interested in attending the event, they must contact the Chamber and sign up.
