Wellington Golf Club is hosting a tournament on Saturday, June 26th in memory of Adam Ricke
The Wellington Golf Club will be hosting the Adam Ricke Memorial Golf Tournament on Saturday, June 26th.
There will be a limit of 36 teams with four people per team. It will be an $80 entry per person which will include a cart, green fees, lunch, two mulligans and three raffle tickets.
All proceeds from the event will go to the Claire Suzanne Ricke Education Fund.
The tournament is dedicated to Adam Ricke who passed away unexpectedly on September 20, 2020, in Wellington at the age of 34. Ricke developed a passion for golf from his dad just before the age of one.
Ricke looked forward to Tuesday night golf and Big Game on Saturdays and Sundays. He was the first to call to join teams for tournaments. In 2016, he won the Catbackers Golf Tournament, which would send him to the Pinehurst Golf Course in North Carolina to compete in a tournament.
He lived out one of his golf dreams with his brother-in-law as they played at TPC Sawgrass in Jacksonville, Florida. Ricke was looking forward to taking his brother-in-law to Pebble Beach Golf Course for his 50th birthday.
Registration for the event will start at 7 a.m. and the tournament will start an hour later. At noon, lunch will be provided, then at 1:15 p.m., the results and raffle will take place. Lastly, at 6 p.m. there will be a concert by the Coverboyz.
Prizes will be awarded to first, second and third in three flights.
Registration prior to June 26th is available. Contact the Wellington Golf Club on 1500 W Harvey Ave at 620-326-7904 or email@example.com.
