October is finally here, which means the postseason is right around the corner for fall sports.

League tournaments for girls tennis and girls golf are this week, with tennis regionals slated for this weekend.

For volleyball and soccer, there's still several weeks left before their postseason begins. Cross country regionals are three weeks away with state meets being held at the end of the month.

As for now, it's time to announce another list of top performers.

Like always, this list will be updated throughout the week with Week 6 of high school football's list being released on Saturday morning.

If there's a top performance that we might have missed, please include their name, school, stats, and other information to dsherwood@salina.com.

Here's this week's top performers as of Wednesday and our fifth athlete of the week.
